Betty Ann Myers

Betty Ann (Brown) Myers, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 03, 2019, after her long battle with Cancer in the comfort of her Black, AL home with her loving husband by her side.

She was born December 09, 1942 in Hartwell, GA to Wade and Gladys (Stone) Brown. She married the love of her life, Leon Myers, 61 years ago in Nahunta, Georgia. She and Leon lived a full and prosperous life together where they settled in Florida to raise their family and later retired in Black, Al where she lived out her golden years.

Betty was particularly proud of the time she worked in the groves alongside Leon and the 16 years she spent with Martin Marietta as a microfilming technician. She then found her second family in her retirement years working with the wonderful people at Wholesale South in Geneva, AL.

Betty truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as Fishing with her beloved husband Leon, crocheting hats and blankets for the grandchildren, baking the most wonderful delicious cakes, reading whatever book she could get her hands on and spending as much time as she could with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Leon; children, Annette Galassi & Mitchell Myers; grandchildren, Angela Waters, Brian Myers, Kristeen Layne & Stephanie Galassi; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexandria & Addison Waters, Lexi & Jada Rogers, Kashlynne Cay; sister, Judy (Brown) Clark; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 Family, friends, and others whose lives Betty touched are invited to the Clermont Family Funeral Home, 260 Mohawk Rd. Clermont, FL 34715, from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 05, 2019, to reminisce, grieve, and share memories of how she touched our hearts.
