Joseph Meekins Obituary
Joseph Anthony Meekins, longtime resident of Florida died unexpectedly at home on July 10, 2021 and is now resting in peace with our Lord, God." Joe was a proud father, patriot, US Air Force veteran, and son of God.
Funeral services will be 11:30 on Monday, July 26th, 2021 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell Florida.Arrangements made by Clermont Family Funeral Home." All are welcome.
Joe is survived by his son, Joshua" Meekins age 17, his former wife, Lisa Meekins, his parents, Harry and Josephine Meekins, and siblings, Vincent and Chris Meekins, and his life brothers, Jeremy English and Matthew Danaher." Joe is preceded in death by his siblings, Samantha Lea and Gina Marie Meekins and grandparents Eddie and Maria Martinez and Harry and Lucy Meekins."
Joe was born on Ramey Air Force Base Puerto Rico, to Harry and Josephine Meekins . He attended school in Texas, Italy, Maine, and Maryland. He graduated and enlisted in the United States Air Force."
He made a career and life as a leader and manager in the restaurant business for his family. Hisproudest 10 years were with the Hard Rock Cafe including locations of Toronto, Maui, Baltimore, Atlantic City, Nashville, Gatlinburg, DC & Orlando. " He continued to pursue his passion in the industry with The Rain Forest Cafe, Macaroni Grill, & Miller Ale House. He married life friend, Lisa Meekins and became a father to Joshua. Joe was a devoted father, lover of life, loyal family man and friend. He was passionate about all things he loved including golf, music, cooking and Star Wars.
He will be missed.
