Robert James Earnshaw Obituary

Robert (Bob) James Earnshaw, age 87, of Orlando Florida, passed away at the Cornerstone Hospice of Orlando on Friday January 20, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer.


 Bob was born in Leominster, Mass to Loretta and George Earnshaw. He served in the US Merchant Marines and then served in the Army of the United States, 752nd Tank Battalion Italian Campaign, and he was decorated with the WWII Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal (Italy). Bob attended the University of Boston and was a member of Odd Fellows Home, South Eastern Chapter? Blue Devils, 88th Infantry Division Association. He retired from B&M Railroad and then from Xerox Corporation. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church throughout New England and New York State for many years. After retirement, Bob fell in love with boating and took a journey sailing his yacht from New York to Florida where he took permanent residence.


Bob is survived by 2 sons,3 daughters, his grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends. he is additionally survived by his loyal service dog and best buddy Ranger.He is predeceased by his wife, Janice Aubrey Downing Earnshaw and second wife Elizabeth Smith Earnshaw.


Bob's final resting place will be the Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell Florida as per his wishes.
